MiPS can be purposed for different functions as a part of a processing equipment. UkrPlasma offers its systems within four main groups which can be integrated into a customized system for various applications:
-MiPS-SFI (Solid Fuel Ignition) works at atmospheric pressure and uses air as plasma-forming gas. This model of solid fuel plasma torch is for installation on the boilers of power plants for fuel ignition, stabilisation of burning modes and boiler kindling.
-MiPS-SPG (Steam Plasma Gasification), is used as plasma-forming gas water vapour - oxidiser. Steamplasma torch is intended for decomposition and gasification of solid and liquid fuels, including wastes, to produce high-energy synthesis-gas.
-MiPS-PFD (Plasma Filter Destructor), is designed for processing and clearing of smoke or combustible gases, including gases received after utilisation of waste. Plasma is used for clearing gas from carcinogens, including dioxins and furans, as well as catalysis for destruction of tar. During the cleaning process, unique catalytic characteristics of plasma are used for transformation of synthesis-gas into pure, stable, low-tar fuel. While processing these gases are used as a plasma-forming gas, passing through plasmatron.
-MiPS-PCT (Plasma Chemical Technologies) are advantageous in plasmo-chemical processes occurring in vacuum systems or in systems with injection of inert gases.
Due to the unique properties of microwave plasma which provides an absolutely pure energy source, free from any impurities and metal erosion products, it is ideally suited for such processes, where rigorous demands to cleanliness of the product are presented. MiPS provides the possibility to receive various crystals, deposition of films and production of high purity spherical powders from metals and alloys for 3D printing.
